Biography
Family Services Australia offers the Staying Home Leaving Violence (SHLV) program to women (and their children) living in the Wollongong, Shellharbour and Kiama LGAs.
The SHLV program assists individuals and families to live safely on their own homes, or a home of their choice, after experiencing domestic and family violence.
The Staying Home Leaving Violence (SHLV) program offers women (with or without children) case managed support to address the impacts of intimate partner violence on their lives. SHLV provides:
- Providing information, support and referrals to counselling, financial, legal and other services
- Residential Safety Assessments
- Security upgrades to improve the safety of your home
- Security equipment for increased safety
- Information and support on Apprehended Domestic Violence Order (ADVO) with an Exclusion Order which allows you to remain in your home while removing (or excluding) the violent offender
- Access to educational support through our Healthy Relationships Program (free 8-week program for women).
The office is located in Shellharbour.
